Claudia Hair Walker, 86, passed away peacefully on Jan. 25 at home in Tucson, Ariz., with family by her side.

She was born March 10, 1927, in Sumter County to the late Thomas G. Hair and Mary Pauline Beugnot Hair.

She spent her retirement years with her daughter in Tucson, Ariz., after a long career at Marengo Mills in Demopolis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lee Walker; and two step-sons, Edsel and Richard Walker.

She is survived by two sons, John (Carolin) Green of Platte City, Mo., and Jack (Cathy) Green of Hawkinsville, Ga.; a daughter, Charlotte Weltjen of Tucson, Ariz.; three step-children, Bob Walker of Lynn Haven, Fla., Bill Walker of Eustis, Fla., and June Walker Truelove of Meridian, Miss.; four grandsons; and six great-grandchildren

Graveside services will be Saturday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. at Siloam Cemetery, south of York.
