UWA women’s tennis adds to win streak

The University of West Alabama won its eighth straight match by shutting out Christian Brothers, 9-0, Thursday at the TPC at Southwind.

West Alabama improved to 11-2 overall and 4-2 in Gulf South Conference play. Christian Brothers is 0-3 overall, 0-3 in the league.

West Alabama won the only doubles match played when Stanzi Stuijt and Sandra Florez defeated Carly Lane and Tyler Napier, 8-2. Christian Brothers failed to enter teams in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

Stuijt and Florez also won their singles matches over Lane and Napier, respectively, 6-0, 6-0. The Lady Bucs did not have players entered in singles three through six.
