Movie night to be held in Demopolis

In conjunction with the Pilot Club’s Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday, March 20, the Demopolis Public Library and Collins Communications are hosting a movie night in Demopolis.

The pickup time for the spaghetti plates is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Demopolis. “The Fighting Kentuckian” will be shown in the Demopolis Public Square beginning at 7:15 p.m.

Spaghetti plate tickets are $5 per plate, and tickets can be purchased from any Pilot Club member or by contacting Andrea Ward at (334) 289-1474 or (334) 341-1176. The movie is free, and people are asked to bring chairs, picnic blankets and their spaghetti dinners.

“The Fighting Kentuckian” stars John Wayne and is set in Demopolis and three other Alabama townships in 1818. The movie was made in 1949.

In case of rain, the movie will be rescheduled for another time.
