UWA men’s tennis stretches win streak to 12

The West Alabama men’s tennis team won for the 12th straight time by cruising by Fort Valley State, 9-0, Saturday at the Wildcat Tennis Courts.

West Alabama is now 16-1 and improved to 6-0 on the road. Including three wins at neutral sites, the Tigers are a perfect 9-0 away from home this season. Fort Valley State is 0-6.

Nestor Vargas and Caspar Schuetze, as well as Adam Drysdale and Adam Boone, took 8-0 doubles wins to get the match started. Fort Valley failed to field a third doubles team and players in No. 5 and 6 singles.

Vargas and Schuetze won singles No. 1 and 2 singles by 8-0 counts. Logan Boone and Adam Drysdale were victorious at singles 3 and 4, 8-4 and 8-1, respectively.

The Tigers continue on their spring break road swing by playing Tuesday at Flagler College (5-11).
