The West Alabama women’s tennis team recorded its second 9-0 victory in as many days by coasting past Hollins University Monday at the Lake Cane Tennis Center.

West Alabama improved its record to 16-3 with the win over the NCAA Division III opponent, who interestingly does not have an official nickname or mascot. The all-women institution is located in Virginia.

Hollins’ only points in the entire match came at No. 1 singles, where UWA’s Natalia Cardenas defeated Victoria Coffee, 6-3, 7-5, and at No. 1 doubles where Stanzi Stuijt and Sandra Florez of West Alabama beat Tiffany Hodges and Coffee, 8-3. The Tigers held Hollins scoreless the rest of the way.
