Severe weather, including isolated tornadoes, is possible overnight Sunday into Monday morning.

Severe thunderstorms will develop across Mississippi on Sunday evening as a surface low pressure system begins to develop.

Some of these storms could creep into Marengo County by midnight, and if so, the threat would include isolated tornadoes.

The main severe threat should begin after midnight as the system tracks northeast and a warm front begins to lift northward across Central Alabama.

Between midnight and 6 a.m., the severe weather threat will be west of I-65, with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes the threats. After 6 a.m., the severe threat will shift eastward.

The threat for flooding will continue from now through Monday as rains will continue to move across the area. With the rain that has already fallen combined with an additional 2-5 inches, localized flash flooding and river flooding will be of concern.
