Jean Braswell Thrash

Jean Braswell Thrash, 80, a former dietitian of Half Acre, died Thursday, May 1 at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 5, 1933, in Marengo County. She was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Alvis Thrash of Half Acre; daughter, Donna (Joey) McManus of Half Acer; sister, Lucille Dunn of Demopolis; grandchildren, Ryan McManus, Morgan McManus and Jordan McManus, all of Half Acre; nine nieces; and 13 nephews.

Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden on Sunday, May 4 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Tony Earl Cannon and the Rev. Chad Ward officiating. Burial was in Linden Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers were Jeff McDonald, Matthew McDonald, Steve Cherry, Ricky Horne, Hunter Hall and Brian Ward.

Honorary pallbearers were Buster Ward, Pete Bedsole, George McClure, Milton Cherry, Roger Gunter, Joe Hendrickson, Danny Kurtis, Jimmy Pritchett and Chuck Pritchett.
