Justine Barnwell Cromer, 80, of Linden died April 29 at DCH Regional Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 11, 1933, in Thomasville. She was a retired paper mill accountant and a member of Linden Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert “Bob” and Thelma Barnwell.

She is survived by her husband, Travis “Red” Cromer of Linden; sons, Kenneth “Ken” (Joy) Cromer of Crestview, Fla., and Ronald “Ronnie” (Rowaine) Cromer of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; daughter, Tina Farris of Tuscaloosa; brother, Robert “Bobby” Barnwell of Linden; sister, Gail Gray of Eugene, Ore.; grandchildren, Pamela Rush, Randi Henderson, William Cromer, Kelly Cromer, Kimberly Perkins, William Cromer, Christopher Cromer, William “Jody” Farris and Amy Farris; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Linden Baptist Church on Saturday, May 3 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Scott Murner and the Rev. Edwin Williams officiating. Burial was at Linden Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers were William Farris, William Cromer, Chris Cromer, Mike Peppenhorst, Bradley Bosch and Mike Braswell.
