Joy Bradford Smith, 70, of Bradford’s Pond Community, died Monday, May 5 at her home.

She was born Dec. 5, 1943, in Dixons Mills. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Danny Smith and her daughter, Carol Yevette Smith.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel Jackson Smith III of Dixons Mills and Craig Bradford Smith of Bradford’s Pond Community; three sisters, Gloria (Tommy) Jean Ray of Gallion, Sue (Johnny) Walker of Dixons Mills, and Cherry (Kenneth) Cobb of Octagon; two grandchildren, Kelly Smith Andrews and Daniel Jackson Smith IV.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 6 from 6-8 p.m. Graveside funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 7 with the Rev. Aaron Carpenter officiating. Burial was at Laurel Cemetery in Dixons Mills.
