Thomas Dean Hollingsworth Sr., 69, of Demopolis, died Wednesday, May 28.

He was born Nov. 6, 1944, in Richmond, Ind., to Ted and Dona Hunt Hollingsworth. He worked as a truck driver for Suttles for 25 years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his daughters, Cindy (Tim) Williams of Demopolis and Stacey (Rodney) Skidmore of Gallion; sons, Thomas Hollingsworth Jr., of Palm Bay, Fla., and Chris Hollingsworth of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sister, Jessie (Hank) Massey of Gainesville, Ga.; brither, William (Donna Gail) Hollingsworth of Gainesville, Ga.; grandchildren, Casey Williams, Tiffany Williams, Shane Skidmore, Rodney Skidmore and Ashlynne Hollingsworth; and great-grandchild, Charlie May Williams.

Funeral services will be held at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel on Saturday, May 31 at 3 p.m. with Mickey Green officiating. Burial will be Monday, June 2 at 1:15 p.m. in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Suttles, employees of Dana Suttles Truck Leasing and Southern Care Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
