Edward Earl Stephens, 85, of Demopolis, died Wednesday, June 4 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

He was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Aimwell to the late Leonard G. Stephens and Mae Flowers Stephens. He worked as a plumber for Anderson Plumbing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard G. Stephens and Mae Flowers Stephens; son, William Earl Stephens; and brother, Curtis Lamar (Margaret) Stephens.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen Flowers Stephens; daughters, Teresa Stephens (Russ) McGuire and Phyllis Stephens (Mike) Abrams; brother, Leonard Beryl Stephens; five nieces and nephews; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7 at 2 p.m. at Rangeline Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Smith and the Rev. Percy Clark officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Aimwell Baptist Church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Curtis Lamar Stephens Jr., John Sommers, Greg Harrington, Randy Flowers, Scott Roberson and Stephen Abrams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Dunn, Billy Flowers, J.D. Flowers, Earl Flowers, Eddie Phillips, David Compton, Duane Andrews and Morris Sample.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rangeline Baptist Church.
