The University of West Alabama men’s and women’s golf teams will hold a Junior Golf Clinic on Aug. 6 and 7 at the Demopolis Country Club. The clinic will be available to males and females ages 6-17.
Each day will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 1 p.m. Instruction will be provided by the UWA golf teams and head coach Adam Buie along with DCC staff. Participants will need to provide their own clubs.
“This will be our first junior clinic,” Buie said. “Hopefully through this we can build more golf awareness in the local community as well as gain more involvement in the sport. All skill levels are welcomed to come out and participate.”
Lessons include golf course etiquette and specialized instructions at each golf station (driving range, chipping range and putting green).
The cost will be $100 per child and $75 for every additional child per family. Lunch and snacks will be provided both days.
All perspective participants should fill out the interest form available here.
