Merle W. Etheridge, 103, a homemaker of Campground, died Tuesday, Sept. 9 at her daughter’s home in Marion.

She was born Dec. 10, 1910, in Marengo County. She was a member of the Campground United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Wayne Etheridge of Campground; daughter, Nelda E. Norman of Marion; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at Campground United Methodist Church on Friday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. with Kelly Etheridge Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Campground United Methodist Church cemetery in Sweet Water.

Active pallbearers will be Terry Barr, John Payne Thomas, Jeff Nettles, Clay Nettles, Dan Gunter and Bubba Thomas.
