Marengo County has been placed under a tornado watch until 12 a.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham issued the watch for 21 counties in Alabama, including Marengo, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Pickens, Sumter and Tuscaloosa in West Central Alabama.
