Mary Catherine Goodwin has joined the staff of The Demopolis Times as a marketing consultant.

Goodwin interned with The Demopolis Times in summer 2013. She comes to Demopolis from The Shelby County Reporter. The Demopolis Times and The Shelby County Reporter are both affiliated with Boone Newspapers, Inc., of Tuscaloosa.

In her new role with The Demopolis Times, Goodwin will work with area businesses to help meet their marketing needs.

“We’re excited to have Mary Catherine rejoin the staff at The Demopolis Times,” publisher Andy Brown said. “I believe that her experience here as an intern and with the advertising department at The Shelby County Reporter will make her a tremendous asset not only to our newspaper, but also to the community.”

Goodwin is a graduate of Spring Hill College, where she studied public relations and advertising. She began work at The Demopolis Times on Monday.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to come back to Demopolis and work with the businesses in this area,” Goodwin said.
