The first week of October has proven to be a good one for football teams in Marengo County as each of the county’s five teams came away with victories. The celebration began Thursday night when Demopolis traveled to Livingston where they rolled over Sumter Central, 35-6. On Friday night, Marengo High turned things up in the second half to run away from McIntosh by a final score of 54-18; Sweet Water came out on top, 35-26, in a hard-hitting battle against Leroy; A.L. Johnson edged Keith on the road, 20-16; Marengo Academy took care of business against Pickens Academy, 46-14; and Linden went on the road to beat Ellwood Christian, 26-6.
