Sylvia Clayton looks for a lane against Neshoba

Basketball season has started at Demopolis High School and the Tigers opened by hosting Neshoba Central High School (Miss.)
The Lady Tigers opened the season securing a 68-57 victory over the visitors from Philadelphia, Mississippi.
Never trailing in the contest, the Lady Tigers used a brand of fast paced, up-tempo offense to keep the Neshoba defense off balance.
Sylvia Clayton was all over the place for DHS, registering 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, four steals and six steals.
Erica Bennett lead the scoring effort with 18 points. Ivery Moore added 12 points and 11 rebounds and Shakesaney Bell scored 12 points off the bench.
The Lady Tigers return to action Dec. 4 on the road against Thomasville.

The DHS boys varsity Tigers fell 70-45 to Neshoba, who is the top ranked 5A team in Mississippi.
Josh Moore led the way for all scorers with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Ladarius Allen had nine points and 16 rebounds.
DHS returns to competition Dec. 4 on the road in Thomasville.
