Robert ‘Geno’ Wilkerson

Robert “Geno” Wilkerson, 76, of Demopolis went to be with his Lord on Oct. 2, 2016.
Mr. Wilkerson was born Nov. 11, 1940, in Sumter County to the late John Walter and Allene Bryant Wilkerson.
He is preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Janice Hill; and his three brothers, Walter Wilkerson, Bill Wilkerson and Richard Wilkerson.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Eloise Harper Wilkerson; daughters, Deborah Stegall (Dan) of Meridian and Lisa Orem (David) of Demopolis; and his sons, Robbie Wilkerson of Gulf Shores and Lee Elliott of Demopolis. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Tyler Stegall, Alex Stegall, and Cody Key (Nicole) and two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Jason Key.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Rev. Scott Stevens will be officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow at Demopolis Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Tyler Stegall, Alex Stegall, Cody Key, Ricky Wilkerson, John Roy, and David Orem. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of DaVita Dialysis, Chu Clinic, Robertson Banking Company and his past fellow co-workers at Griffith Packing Plant.
The family would like to sincerely thank his faithful and loving sitters Patrick Dansby and Roger Watkins for the love and compassion they showed Mr. Wilkerson.
