A memorial service for John Woodford Abrams Jr. age 72 of Birmingham, Alabama, was held Nov. 28 at Dogwood Chapel in Aliceville, Alabama. Mr. Abrams passed away Nov. 26.
He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Kirksey Abrams, father John W. Abrams, Sr., and his cousin Edward McPherson Alston.
Survivors include his sons, John J. Abrams and Archie Abrams; sister, Robbie Abrams Davis; brother-in-law, Charles Davis; and numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
John was a retired farmer, teacher, principal at Linden High School, member of the National Guard for 12 years, and a loving grandfather.
Pallbearers were Broughton W. Rogers, Bob Davis, Ted Alston, Tommy Snoddy and Everett Owens.
