The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce has announced its upcoming annual celebration and is requesting nominations for awards.
This year’s DACC Annual Celebration will be held Thursday, March 23, at the Demopolis Civic Center. The evening will include a beer and wine bar, silent auction, entertainment and the recognition of community members for their contributions to the community in 2016.
Chamber representatives are seeking award nominations for the following five categories: Business of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Community Spirit Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award. Nominees would need to be from the Demopolis area to be eligible to receive the award.
Nominations can be emailed to candace.dorriety@demopolischamber.com or by dropped off in person to the chamber office, 102 E. Washington Street in downtown Demopolis. Each nomination should include a one to two paragraph description about the nomination.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, Feb. 10.
Tickets to the chamber celebration are $35 each and may be purchased at the chamber office beginning Monday, Jan. 23.
