The Demopolis Public Library will host a book signing event with author Dee Jordan, featuring her latest book: “In the Shadow of Sin: The Confessions of a Sex Addict.”

Jordan, a retired school teacher, published her first novel, “In and Out of Madness,” under the pen name N.L. Snowden. She has written book reviews and articles dealing with mental illness for New York City Voices.

In her new novel, she tackles the elephant in the room in 2017 — sex addiction. The novel is about a shy boy from an Alabama town, growing up in a fundamentalist church, who is rescued from his problems by an older woman who shatters his concept of sex and love.

The book signing will be held at the library on Monday, July 10, at 1 p.m. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
