Don’t be misled by the term “general.” Bryan Whitfield’s emergency room nurses say that the surgeries Robert’s performs are anything but general.

“We are blessed to have him. He has performed life-saving surgery here,” said Genelle Ward, RN, ER Director.

General surgery also includes, some of the more common surgical procedures such as:  appendectomies, laparoscopic gallbladder removal and gastrointestinal surgeries.

Roberts is highly trained and practices lifelong learning to stay ahead of the curve.

“I just came back from a weekend of classes, I am always looking for new techniques and technology because I care about my patients and community,” Roberts said.

“He is a wonderful, caring surgeon and has kept me from traveling to a doctor in Tuscaloosa many time.  I highly recommend you try him. You will be very pleased with his personnel that works for him,” said patient Carolyn Webb.

Another patient, Leo Baker, said, “He is a great physician and is great at his job.”
