Virginia Paul Etheredge, 78, a homemaker of Thomaston, died Feb. 5, 2018 at her home.

Virginia was born June 21, 1939 in Grove Hill, Alabama to Geroge Clayton and Effie Paul. She was a member of Thomaston Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, James Crocker Etheredge of Thomaston; son, Paul A. Etheredge of Birmingham; daughter, Lisa E. Griffith of Thomaston; two brothers, DeVane Paul (Norma) and Billy Max Paul, both of Grove Hill; and a grandchild, Carson Griffith of Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Funeral services were held at Thomaston Baptist Church on Thursday, Feb., 8, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Jerry Henry and Rev. David Traywick officiating. Burial was at the Thomaston Cemetery in Thomaston.

Active Pallbearers were: Frank Jordan, Jimmy Brame, Greg Gates, Clevis Kaeo, Daniel Paul, and Carson Griffith.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Members of the BYKOTA Sunday School Class at Thomaston Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Thomaston Cemetery Fund or to the donor’s favorite charity.
