Shirley Griffies Lewis, 62, of Linden died March 7, 2018 at her home.

Shirley was born Jan. 31, 1956 in Butler, Alabama to James T. and Madelyn Marie Griffies. She was a former daycare operator and a member of Linden Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Robby (Amy) Lewis of Linden; son, Steven (Lindsay) Griffies of Waverly; four step-sons, Joe (Lynn) Lewis of Camden, Alabama, Mike (Debbie) Lewis of Butler, Wayne (Wendy) Lewis of Linden, and Eddie Lewis of Linden; two sisters, Helen (Charles) Huckabee of Sweet Water and Carol Griffies of Pennington, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lewis; step-sons, Kenny Lewis and John Wayne Lewis; two grandchildren, Noah Lewis and Jeremy Lewis; her parents; and a brother, Roy Griffies.

Funeral service will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, March 10, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Lister Hill officiating. Burial was at Linden Memorial Park in Linden.

Active Pallbearers are: Robby Lewis, Steven Griffies, Joe Lewis, Mike Lewis, Wayne Lewis, and Eddie Lewis.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Former and Present Daycare Children.
