Paul Lee Warren of Gallion, Alabama left this earth on March 10, 2018 around 5 pm. Cancer had to sneak up on him to win, because it knew if it had Paul face to face it would surely lose.

Paul was a husband to two amazing women, father to four lucky children and a grandfather to five kids who knew he hung the moon. He was a devoted son, a dependable brother and the type of uncle every child would want. Paul cherished and loved  each and every friend he ever met. He was an avid hunter, he loved hunting and he always brought the best out in people. He loved to fish, fishing for smiles and laughter in everyone he encountered. He was a protector, just being in his presence you felt safe and at peace. The hole he left in the hearts of everyone who knew him will never be filled.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Alfred Pittman Warren, and beloved brother, Michael Warren.

He is survived by his mother whom he loved from his first breath until his last, Sara Bedford Warren, and Kim Warren who never left his side and Peggy Iverson, two women he was lucky enough to convince in to marry him. Four children, his namesake and first born, Paul Lee Warren Jr. (Christina Morgan), second born, James Bedford Warren (Julie Mays) who kept him on his toes, Chase Cummings Warren who made him proud every day, and his only daughter, Cassaundra Machelle-Lyn who truly was the apple of his eye. His grandchildren whom he spoiled rotten with love and ice cream: Hannah, Gracie, Parker, Kendal and Molly. His brothers and sister and a host of niece and nephews, and countless friends and extended family. And one very special life long friend, Mike Oliver.

Services were held Tuesday, March 13, at Kirk Funeral Home chapel and burial followed at Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Chase Cummings, Andrew Dixon, Carson Hannah, Brad Warren, Jeff Tucker and Justin Hoggle. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Oliver, Ben Cooper, Clay Elliot and Jesse Oates.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
