Florence Bouler Flowers

Florence Bouler Flowers, 88, of Demopolis passed away March 27, 2018 at her home.

Services were held Friday, March 30, 1 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Demopolis with Dr. Allen Atkins officiating. Burial followed at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Kirk Funeral Home directing. Visitation was prior to the service at noon.

Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sallie Bouler; husband, Evard “Billy” Flowers; sisters, Mildred Sessions and Myra Bouler; and granddaughter, Melanie Flowers.

Survivors include sons, Ronnie (Antoinette), Mike (Diane), and Tim (Linda); grandsons, Ron (Beth), Cruse (Katherine), Michael (Eve), Sam, David, Daniel, and Brian; great-grandchildren, Billy, Jenna, Wells, Cruse, and Kate; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Florence was born Sept. 16, 1929, in Half Acre, Alabama. She graduated from Albert G. Parrish High School in Selma in 1947 and married Billy in June of 1948. They moved to Demopolis in 1949 and made their home there since that time. Florence worked at Robertson Banking Company from 1951 until her retirement in 1991. During her tenure there, she worked her way up from teller to the Assistant to the President. She and Billy were active members of First Baptist Church of Demopolis.

Pallbearers will be Ron Flowers Jr., Cruse Flowers, Michael Flowers Jr., Sam Flowers, David Flowers, Daniel Flowers, Brian Flowers, Darrin Flowers, Tom Sessions, Allen Bishop, and John Northcutt.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Hugh Lloyd Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.

A special thanks from the family goes out to Always Home Health, SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice, and Elnora Lewis for their care during this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church of Demopolis.
