Grover Cleveland Jr., 89, of Demopolis, passed away Nov. 1, 2018, at Marengo Nursing Home.

Grover was born Sept. 16, 1929, in Oklahoma, to Grover and Leslie O’Neal Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Douglas Cleveland; sister, Margaret Cleveland Griff; and a brother, John O’Neal Cleveland.

Surviving Grover is his wife, Rosa Luker Cleveland; daughter, Carol (Richard) Cleveland Capel; sons, Richard (Dianne) Roy Cleveland and David (Donna) Wayne Cleveland; six grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eric Brent, Jeffery Roland, Patrick Burns, Jason Duncan, Davis Tharp, and Joshua Roland.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Demopolis Kiwanis Club.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m., from Fairhaven Baptist Church with Scott Stevens officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials memorials may be made to Fairhaven Baptist Church Building Fund.
