James Randall Ballard, 53, of Myrtlewood died Jan.19, 2019 at his home. He was born Nov. 25, 1965 in Demopolis. He was employed with Georgia-Pacific Corporation and enjoyed fishing and turkey hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jones Ballard of Myrtlewood; two sons, James Patrick Ballard and Nicholas Randall Ballard of Myrtlewood; and his father, James Gary “Lamar” Ballard of Linden.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Allen Ballard.

Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 21, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Steve Walley officiating. Burial followed at Myrtlewood Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers were: Randall Jones, Pate Smiley, Steve Sikes, Sonny Breckenridge, Kevin McKinney, and Allen Ramsey.

Honorary Pallbearers were the Marengo Academy football team.
