Winston Dafford Cobb, 74, of Gallion died Jan. 19, 2019 at Hospice of West Alabama. He was born April 10, 1944 in Marengo County to William Henry and Donnie Cobb. He was a retired maintenance planner with James Rivers Corp./Georgia-Pacific and a member of Providence Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Janice W. Cobb; two sons, Donnie Cobb (Allison) and Darrell Cobb (Andre’); daughter, Lynn Cobb Morrison (Russell); five sisters, Mildred Duke, Dot Pruitt, Cudie Hinson, Margie Williams, and June Hadley; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Providence Baptist Church on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Warren Huggins and Dr. David Stidham officiating. Burial followed at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Gallion.

Active Pallbearers were: Tyler Cobb, Lane Cobb, Cody Cobb, Keith Hinson, Robbie Kaylor, and Byron Johnston.

Junior Pallbearers were: Caleb Cobb and Hunter Morrison.

Honorary Pallbearers were: Paul Vice, Tommy Vick, Roger Etheridge, Willie Frank Johnston, Clevis Kaeo, and Buster Ward.
