Kennieth “Pete” Bedsole, 80, of Sweet Water died July 16, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Bedsole was born Sept. 19, 1938 in Marengo County to E. B. and Annie Frank Bedsole. He was a retired millwright of 42 years at Georgia Pacific Corporation. He was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Cecile Bedsole; son, Keith Bedsole (Christy); grandson, Wade Bedsole; and Wade’s mother, Vickie B. Stephens; brother, Glenn Bedsole; and two sisters, Mary Boozer and Voncile Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Bedsole; his parents, E. B. and Annie Frank Bedsole; three brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services were held at Beaver Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, July 18, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Sidney B. Hill and Rev. Lister Hill officiating. Burial followed at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Sweet Water.

Active Pallbearers were: Billy Bedsole, Stanley Etheridge, Buck Etheridge, Bob Etheridge, Roy Etheridge, Donald Boyd Dickson and Dan Etheridge.
