Joseph David “J.D.” Flowers, 93, of Sweet Water died August 17, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Flowers was born July 1, 1926 in Marengo County to James Campbell and Annie Elizabeth Flowers. He was a retired banker of 39 years at First Bank of Linden and a World War II, U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his sister, Katie Allday.

Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, August 22, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Bo Brantley officiating. Burial will follow at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery.
