Child Find applies to children from birth to 21, who need special education and related services, regardless of the severity of their disability.  It also applies to children who attend private or religious schools and highly mobile children with disabilities (e.g., migrant children), homeless children and children who are wards of the State within this education agency’s jurisdiction.

To comply with state and federal requirements, the Marengo County School System is making an effort to locate, identify and evaluate individuals from 0-21 years old who have or are suspected of having a disability.  If you know of someone who can benefit from special education services, or for more information, call A.L. Johnson High School at 334-627-3364, Marengo High School at 334-992-2395, Sweet Water High School at 334-994-4263 or the Marengo County Board of Education at 334-295-2271.
