A student-led candlelight vigil was held in memory of Rayshawn Benison and Natasia Daniels, two Demopolis High School students who drowned on Friday, Oct. 11 at the Demopolis City Landing. The program was organized by the DHS River City Blue Marching Band, of which Benison and Daniels were members. Members of the band took turns sharing their fond memories of the two students, including drum major Kelsei Elmore, pictured right. On Sunday, a public visitation for the two students was held at Demopolis High School.
