After the original event was postponed due to inclement weather, Pinnacle Renewable Energy in partnership with the West Alabama Works will now host their Drive Thru Job Fair on February 25, 2021 from 10AM-2PM CST at the Demopolis City Civic Center located at 501 N Commissioners Avenue. Job seekers can receive company information, apply for a variety of positions, and complete interviews from the safety of their vehicles.

“We are excited for the opportunity to meet future employees and provide advancement to the people in this area,” said Hunter Winborne, Pinnacle Renewable Energy’s HR Manager. “With the current state of the pandemic, we wanted to get creative with our recruiting efforts. Everyone wants to stay safe, but we also understand the desire to speak face-to-face, especially regarding employment. We feel that this drive thru event provides a much-needed solution to that issue, so we encourage job seekers to come out and speak with us regarding a potential future with Pinnacle.”

Company representatives and event staff wearing the appropriate PPE will coordinate traffic flow along a set route that starts at the intersection of Commissioners Avenue and Childers Street, runs through the civic center parking lot, and ends at W Lyon Street. Social distancing protocol will be enforced, and masks will be required for all. Attendees will remain in their vehicles with their windows partially open for the duration of the event. They will have the opportunity to interview for positions with pay ranging from $15-$30 per hour with benefits packages available. Attendees will need to bring a copy of their updated resume.

“As we continue to think outside of box when it comes to reaching potential job seekers, this drive-thru job fair is just another way for us to be in the community. Finding a way to make meaningful connections and fuel sustainable employment in our region has always been important, but even more so now with the ongoing challenges associated with the pandemic,” said Tammi Holley, Black Belt Workforce Center Coordinator.

Job seekers interested in more information about the job fair are encouraged to check out the event’s Facebook page. Anyone who feels uncomfortable with the in-person hiring event can apply via West Alabama Jobs with event code PJOB.
