Saturday on the diamond was a tough one for the Sweet Water Bulldog baseball team, dropping a pair of games to Jackson and Mobile Christian.

Sweet Water’s baseball team had a tough time generating runs today, dropping Saturday game with Jackson 10-0.
One bright spot for the Bulldogs was a single by William Etheridge in the first inning.
Corley led the Jackson to victory on the hill. The fireballer went five innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out five and walking one.
Trace Luker was on the pitcher’s mound for SWHS. The pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on two hits. Jaland Lewis-Horton and CJ White entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and one-third innings and one and one-third innings respectively.
Etheridge, White, and Lewis-Horton each managed one hit to lead Sweet Water Bulldogs Varsity.
Jackson tallied seven hits. Corley and Merida each managed multiple hits for Jackson.

SWHS 2, Mobile Christian 2.
SWHS fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-2 loss to Mobile Christian on Saturday. MC scored on a single by Hinton, a wild pitch by Stokes, a home run by Keller, and a walk by Redding in the first inning.
SWHS struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Mobile Christian, giving up 12 runs.
In the first inning, Mobile Christian got their offense started. Mobile Christian scored one run when Hinton singled.
Lavier was the winning pitcher for Mobile Christian. The hurler lasted five innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out four and walking zero.
Walker Thompson was on the mound for the Bulldogs. The Bulldog pitcher allowed three hits and five runs over two-thirds of an inning. Trace Luker and Michael Alan Cole entered the game as relief, throwing two and a third innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.
The Leopards launched three home runs on the day. Stokes went deep in the fourth inning. Keller went for the long ball in the first inning. Jay went yard in the third inning.
SWHS collected five hits on the day. Luker and Payton Averette all managed multiple hits for SWHS. Averette and Luker each collected two hits to lead the Bullodgs.
Macha went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Mobile Christian in hits.
