The Demopolis City Council’s June 1 meeting was fairly short, lasting under 30 minutes, and saw the approval of three resolutions and a public hearing for digital signs at 1803 and 1903 Highway 80.

The public hearing for Bill Mackey was for him to post two digital signs on Highway 80 E. No members of the public were present to say yes or no for the signage, so the Council unanimously approved the posting of the signs on Highway 80.

Resolution 2023-04 concerned surplus equipment that the Public Works Department wants to have disposed. The Council approved the resolution.

The third resolution was for engineer services for a yet to be determined CDBG grant. The Council approved the resolution.
