Sweet Water goes 1-1 to start season

The Sweet Water Bulldogs rebounded from their loss on opening day with a 3-0 win over Blacksher at home Tuesday.
The Bulldogs took advantage of a bases loaded situation in the fourth inning to get the win. Tim Kelley drew a walk to score Sammie Walker. Then senior Nate Norris hit a double to drive in Jordan McManus and DJ Lucy to round out the rally. Walker had the only other hit in the game. Norris and Kelley also had stolen bases.
McManus went the distance scattering three hits with nine strikeouts and no walks.
TR Miller 14, Sweet Water 0
No Bulldog reached base as Eli Hubbert threw a perfect game for T.R. Miller, striking out 11 in five innings.
Of the 14 runs, only five were earned due to four errors. Jackson Glass took the loss pitching two and two-thirds innings. He only allowed five hits and two earned runs with three walks and four strikeouts. Brayden Dunn had three earned runs on four hits and three walks during his one and one-third innings.
