Chamber Celebration

The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce will have its Annual Membership Celebration and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m. at the Demopolis Civic Center. Whitfield Regional Hospital Fundraiser

The Whitfield Regional Auxiliary is hosting a Jewelry Show on March 6, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and March 7th, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to raise funds for hospital equipment and scholarships. Entry is $5. All major credit cards are accepted. The event will be held in the “New Classroom” at Whitfield Regional Hospital. “It’s $5 shopping euphoria for a great cause!”

 

Citizens Police Academy

The Demopolis Police Department is now accepting applications for the 2025 Citizens’ Police Academy. This is the DPD’s opportunity to give citizens a hands-on insight to what they do every day. The first class of 2025 begins on March 11 at 5:30 p.m. and will be every Tuesday thereafter for three months. Applications may be picked up at the front desk of the Police Department and be available until the class limit (15) is full.
