Lady Bulldogs take down Clarke County

The Sweet Water Lady Bulldogs rebounded from a big loss to Thomasville on Feb. 24 with a 22-4 win at Clarke County on Feb. 25.
No other games were recorded for the week. The Lady Bulldogs (4-4) return to action Thursday at 5 p.m. against Southern Choctaw. They will travel to Jackson on Friday at 6 p.m. and then host Excel on Monday, March 10 at 4 p.m. They will round out the week with a trip to University Chargter Tuesday, March 11 at 4:30 p.m.
Sweet Water scored 11 runs in the first inning and 11 runs in the fourth inning to end the game after four innings. Anna Westbrook and K Mazingo each went 3-for-4 to lead the attack. Mazingo also had a triple, a double and six RBIs while Westbrook scored three times.
Reese Ashcroft was 2-for-3 with three RBIs while Addison Griffith was 2-for-2 with two RBIs, three runs scored and two walks.
Reagan Averette had a bases-clearing triple with three RBIS while Whitney Harrington had three RBIs on her double. Jamirah Lucy also added an RBI single.
In addition to the 13 hits, the Lady Bulldogs also drew 15 walks and three hit batters.
Harrington struck out six batters in three and two-thirds innings of work. She allowed four runs on nine hits with a walk.
