The Marengo Panthers got in the win column last week after sweeping Sumter Central 11-3 and 4-0 on March 11 in a doubleheader.
The Panthers return to action Thursday against Greensboro.
Marengo had seven runs in the third inning to clinch a win in Game 1. Matthew Lewis had the only two hits of the game, but eight walks led to 18 stolen bases.
Center Bruno, O’Nealius Norwood and Kiing Fisher all had three stolen bases while Derrick Poellnitz, Jordan Moore and LaDale Pritchett all had two stolen bases.
Fisher earned the win by getting 12 strikeouts in four innings of work. He allowed only one earned run on one hit and two walks.
In Game 2, Fisher, Norwood, Matthew Lewis and Bruno all scored runs in spite of the Panthers not getting a hit on the day. Fisher, Lewis and Bruno each walked while Norwood was hit by a pitch. All of the runs came in the first inning.
Bruno had a no-hitter with five strikeouts despite two walks.
