Bulldogs pick up 5 wins

Sweet Water picked up five wins in recent action.
The defeated Choctaw County 17-2 and 14-1 before beating Fruitdale 10-0.
They lost to Excel 6-3 and Thomasville 10-0 before rebounding 10-0 against Choctaw County.
They fell to Jasper 14-2 on Monday before getting back on track with a 14-5 win over West End.
Sweet Water returns to action on Wednesday April 2 against Millry.
Sweet Water 14, West End 5
Tim Kelley hit a triple and scored four times in the Bulldogs win. Sammie Walker was 3-for-5 with an RBI while Evan Dunn and Maitland Morgan each had two hits. DJ Lucy and Efrain Cardenas also had hits.
Jordan McManus took the win, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks with seven strikeouts in four and two-thirds innings.
Evan Dunn pitched one and one-third innings while Nate Norris pitched an inning.
Sweet Water 2, Jasper 14
Evan Dunn had a double with an RBI while Nate Norris and Jordan McManus had singles for the Bulldogs. However, the three hits weren’t enough.
McManus had the other RBI. Dunn and Tim Kelley scored the runs.
Jackson Glass took the loss in one and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 runs (11 were unearned) on five hits and four walks with a strikeout.
Parker Reed pitched one and one-thirds innings, allowing two runs on two hits and a walk with a strikeout.
Sweet Water 10, Choctaw County 0
The Bulldogs racked up eight hits in the seven-inning win.
Brendan Hill led the way with two hits while Sammie Walker had a double, and Evan Dunn, Jordan Lynam, Brayden Dunn and Jackson Glass all had hits.
Walker, Evan Dunn and Hill all had two RBIs each.
Gage Megginson got the no-hitter with 12 strikeouts in seven innings of work. The only batters reached due to being hit by a pitch or by errors.
Sweet Water 0, Thomasville 10
Sammie Walker and Brayden Dunn were the only base runners after each singled. Walker took the loss allowing eight runs (all unearned) on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts in four innings of work.
Brayden Dunn pitched one inning and allowed two runs on one hit and no walks with two strikeouts.
The Bulldogs committed six errors in the loss.
Sweet Water 3, Excel 6
Sweet Water scored three runs thanks to four errors by Excel. Aiden Brown had the only hit, but Tim Kelley, Efrain Cardenas and DJ Lucy all scored runs. Sammie Walker drove in a run.
Jordan McManus took the loss in three and one-thirds innings of work. He allowed six runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Jackson Glass pitched one and two-thirds innings of scoreless baseball with a strikeout. Aiden Brown also allowed only one hit in one inning of work.

The Bulldogs had 11 hits paced by Bradyn Norris with a 3-for-3 outing with two RBIs and three runs scored.
Evan Dunn had a pair of doubles with an RBI while Brendan Hill had a pair of singles with a run scored and an RBI.
DJ Lucy, Nate Norris and Brayden Dunn had singles while Jordan McManus doubled with an RBI and a run scored.
Gage Megginson pitched five scoreless innings with 12 strikeouts and allowing only a hit, a walk and a hit batter.
Sweet Water 17-14. Choctaw County 2-1
In Game 1, Sweet Water took advantage of eight walks and six errors to win by 15 runs. Nate Norris, Bradyn Norris and DJ Lucy had doubles. Lucy had four RBIs to lead the team while Norris had two RBIs. Tim Kelley also had a hit and scored four times also reaching with a walk and two hit batsmen.
Sammie Walker allowed two unearned runs on two hits and a walk with seven strikeouts over three innings.
In Game 2, Jordan McManus pitched three scoreless innings allowing a hit and a walk with seven strikeouts to get the win. Kelley had five strikeouts in two innings despite allowing a run on a walk.
Kelley had a single and a triple with three runs scored while Bradyn Norris had a double and single with two RBIs and a run.
McManus and Nate Norris had doubles while Walker, Dunn, Brown and Lucy had singles. Walker and Nate Norris each had two RBIs.
