The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce recently held a formal ribbon cutting ceremony for its new location on Walnut Avenue downtown. Kicking off the Business After Hours and Open House gathering,
Chamber Executive Director Monica King and Demopolis Mayor Woody Collins snipped the blue ribbon with the requisite giant scissors while surrounded by chamber board members and guests.
“We had a fantastic time at our recent Business After Hours event,” King commented, “A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support us — your presence made the evening truly special. We were thrilled with the wonderful turnout and are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome into our new space. Here’s to new beginnings, continued partnerships, and growing together in our community!”
In addition to providing leadership and coordination for the advancement of economic vitality in businesses, and quality of life for the total community, the chamber also operates Leadership Marengo, Inc. The program hopes to identify, educate and train potential leaders, as well as current leaders in Marengo County. The goal is that by developing leaders through an effective network and interchange of ideas, and gaining a better understanding of economic, political and social conditions, they might generate progress in working together as a county.
The newly relocated office at 102 N. Walnut Ave. will be open Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. You can reach Monica at director@demopolischamber.com, or call 334-289-0270.
