• Demopolis City Council meeting, Rooster Hall, downtown Demopolis. Work session begins at 4:45 pm, with the public council meeting beginning at 5:15 pm.

• Demopolis High School graduation at Tiger Stadium. Congratulations seniors!

Saturday, May 17

• Black Belt Community Associates will have its Commissioners Recognition Luncheon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marengo County Economic Development Center, located at 2400 E. Coats Ave. – Hwy 28 in Linden. The fundraising event features indoor vendor tables. No cooking will be allowed on the premises. Vendor deadline to reserve table space is May 3. • The next Demopolis City Schools BOE meeting will take place at the Central Office on Monday, May 19th at 5:15 p.m.

• The Marengo County School Board will hold its regular board meeting on Thursday, May 22. The meeting will begin promptly at 4:00 PM in the boardroom on the 2nd floor of the Marengo County Office Building, 101 North Shiloh Street, Linden.
