The Whitfield Foundation is proud to announce its collaboration with United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama to host the JET Program (job exploration and training) at Whitfield Regional Hospital that kicks off on June 2. This initiative provides individuals with special needs with real-world work experience. Through training at the hospital, these individuals will build job related skills and confidence.

Five students from Demopolis High School will be participating in the program. These students will work and rotate through the following hospital departments: Dietary, Oncology, Patient Experience, and work with our auxiliary members.

“We are proud to work with United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama on this very important initiative. Our employees are ready to welcome these students to the hospital with open arms. We know these students will be a blessing to our employees and patients. This program not only highlights the commitment of the Whitfield Foundation to inclusivity and community service but also underscores the importance of providing support and opportunities for individuals with special needs in a professional environment. Thank you UCP for this opportunity!” -Ashley Coplin, Director of the Whitfield Foundation
