RBTC training now open to aspiring entrepreneurs in the Blackbelt region
The Rural Business and Training Center (RBTC), Inc., a non-profit organization, announced the start of another CO.STARTERS Core cohort beginning weekly Tuesday, April 8 – June 10, 2025, from 5:30 – 8:30 pm in Demopolis, AL.
“This boots-on-ground cohort-based program is ideal for those looking to transform their ideas into actionable, sustainable businesses in Alabama’s Blackbelt counties,” commented Dr. Aliquippa Allen, Executive Director of RBTC.
The RBTC provides essential resources and support to aspiring entrepreneurs and those interested in growing their businesses. The goal of the RBTC is to foster economic development and empower small business owners through education, mentorship, and strategic resources. Over the past 42 months, the RBTC graduated 33 of the 35 enrolled, and 11 graduates started or grew their businesses.
CO.STARTERS Core offers participants the insights, relationships, and tools necessary to move from inspiration to execution. As part of the course, participants who complete the course will have the opportunity to compete for a startup grant to help bring their ideas to life.
Throughout the course, participants are guided by a trained facilitator and an online network of successful entrepreneurs and startup veterans from across the globe, gaining valuable perspectives and learning from real-world experiences. CO.STARTERS uses proven lean business modeling methods (Canvas) that are simple, intuitive, and effective in helping small business owners start or build a solid foundation for growth.
By entering a business idea and a target market, Fynn, an AI assistant, will automatically generate a comprehensive business plan or CO.STARTERS Canvas. This innovative tool saves valuable time while setting entrepreneurs on the path to success.
CO.STARTERS is proven and trusted, with over 27,000 success stories globally. According to the organization, 95% of CO.STARTERS graduates are still actively running their businesses, 70% of graduates are generating a profit and see 150% increase in annual sales, while seeing a 40% reduction in administrative time and costs using the business platform. The system also connects participants to local financial institutions for further growth and support.
This unique opportunity allows aspiring business owners in Alabama’s Blackbelt region to access valuable resources, mentorship, and community support. Registration is now open, but seats are limited. If you are interested, contact the RBTC today to reserve your seat.
