Willard Woodrow Bedsole

Willard Woodrow Bedsole, 69, of Forkland died Feb. 17, 2017 at Hospice of West Alabama.
Mr. Bedsole was born Nov. 5, 1947 in Marengo County to E.B. and Annie Frank Bedsole. He was a retired maintenance worker with Borden Chemical Company.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Barnes Bedsole of Forkland; daughter, Shannon Bedsole (Marc) Bozeman of Demopolis; son, Christopher Shane (Waverly Dickerson) Bedsole of Demopolis; three special girls that he thought of as his adopted daughters, Leighann Shearin of Russellville, Alabama; Kelly Swindele of Jasper, Alabama; and Michele Lewis of Demopolis; two brothers, Pete Bedsole of Beaver Creek, Alabama; and Glenn Bedsole of Mary Esther, Florida; two sisters, Mary Boozer and Providence; and Voncille Nichols of Opelika, Alabama; six grandchildren, Madison Bozeman, Ashley Bozeman, Trey Williams, Amanda Brace, Tucker Brace, and Nikkie Swindle Wade; and a great-grandchild, Sophie Lee Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.B. and Annie Frank Bedsole; brother, Billy Grey “Buddy” Bedsole; sister, Willie Mae Dickson; and a brother, Bobby Bedsole.
Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. memorial service with Rev. Bruce Squires officiating. Burial will follow at Bedsole Family Cemetery in Gallion.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Freddie Steen, Ben Green, Henry Braggs, Frank Moore, Johnny Rogers, Cecil Hill, Frankie Fields, past employees of Borden Chemical Company, and the officers of the Demopolis Police Department.
