The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a “State of the City” address to be given at the Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital classroom on Thursday, Sept. 23, at 7 a.m.
The address is open to the public, and a breakfast will be served.
“The Chamber has asked me to come to this, and I am certainly willing to do anything I can to support the Chamber and support meaningful programs and dialogue,” said Demopolis mayor Mike Grayson.
“This is an opportunity in the spirit of full disclosure to talk about what’s going on in the city — perhaps where we’ve been, where we are and where we would like to go.”
The next public meeting for the City of Demopolis is tentatively scheduled as a town hall meeting on Thursday, Oct. 14, at Rooster Hall.
