LINDEN — Demopolis (21-6) got up early and pulled its starters in a 50-31 win over the Lady Patriots Saturday night.

Demopolis held Linden to single digit points each quarter until the fourth win the Lady Pats scored 16 against the DHS reserve unit.

Tee Perkins led all scorers with 14 points. Megan Smith and Damekeia Marshall had 10 points each for Demopolis. Eighth-grader Ivory Moore had five points in her first varsity action since being called up from the Demopolis Middle School team earlier this week.

Catrina Benison, Martina Smith and Dee Dee White, also an eighth-grader, each scored in the game. Briana Delaine led Linden with 11 points.

Both teams will resume play Friday night in their respective area tournaments.
