Demopolis boys basketball ends four-game skidBy Matt Cole Published 2:13pm Tuesday, December 18, 2012
Monday night, the Demopolis basketball teams traveled to Thomasville to take on the Tigers. The boys were looking to end a four-game losing streak.
They finally got back into the win column with a 61-46 win over the home Tigers.
Head coach Rodney Jackson was pleased with how his team played to get off the losing streak.
“We hit some shots early,” he said, “and when you knock down shots, you play better basketball. We played aggressive on offense and defense.”
Roderick Davis led the team with 16 points, 12 of which came from behind the three-point line. Rashad Lynch added 15, Tommy Wilson added 11 and Cortez Lewis had 10.
The win moves the Tigers to 3-5 this year.
The girls team also added a win, blowing Thomasville out by a score of 59-23. The win moves them to 7-1 so far this season.
