Dual enrollment spots still open at DHSBy Mary Catherine Goodwin Published 7:56pm Tuesday, July 23, 2013
Demopolis High School is expanding its course offerings to include speech and theatre 100 for the fall semester 2013 dual enrollment program.
Speech and theatre are late additions to the schedule. Students were not aware that they could register for them at the initial dual enrollment meeting, but they do satisfy college core requirements, according to drama program sponsor and teacher Jody Tartt.
Dual enrollment courses at DHS during the daily schedule will include U.S. History, English 101, Math 113, Speech 100 and Theatre 100.
July 31 is the last day to submit an application for admission for dual enrollment for the fall semester at the University of West Alabama.
The last day to register for fall semester semester is Friday, Aug. 16. All tuition must be paid by this date. Classes begin on Monday, Aug. 19.
Applications for dual enrollments, registration forms, information about the ACT and any of the dual enrollment courses may be obtained by calling Angelia Mance at (763) 360-0340 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to the new dual enrollment classes, DHS is also offering Choral Musics as a Fine Arts course.
